The NSG370 was mated to the 3.6 in the 12-18 JK. Although they have about the same torque rating as the AL6, I think they had better reliability.

TCases changed JK-JL, but good excuse to go Atlas.

EDIT: While you are calling them about your new Atlas, Advanced Adapters is probably a great source for information on a trans swap.
I wouldn't intentionally put an NSG370 behind an engine when I have so many better options. It's rated for 370 newton-meters which is about 272 lb-ft. Any serious engine is going to overload it pretty easily. An AX15 out of a YJ, XJ, or TJ would be a much better option. The NV3550 in later TJ Jeeps is a good option too.

Also, I couldn't find any adapters for a 3.6 at Advance Adapters. Tons of options if you drop in a good engine like a small block Chevy or Ford.

Yeah, I was mainly bringing that up because it's been behind the same motor, and there would likely be bellhousing available to work.

I loved the AX15s in my TJ and XJ. I would happily drop one in if it was reasonably possible. Does anyone have small block Chevy kits for the the JT?

That's fair. You could find one off a 2012-2018 JK and it would bolt up.

I spoke with an independant mechanic today who gave me a plausible explanation for why my problem is recurring despite new transmissions. If the engine has a defect causing the transmission input shaft to be misaligned with the crankshaft, it can cause excessive wear on transmission components. Second gear may just happen to find itself as the weak link causing it to fail as things loosen up over time from the misalignment
