I’m installing the wheel spacers on the front of the Jeep. Don’t have a friend to step on the brakes, so I thought I would just switch into 4H, and that would prevent the front wheels from turning. Dash says it’s in 4H, but front wheels spin freely. Am I doing something wrong? I know there are other ways, like a screw driver in the rotor slots, but I feel like maybe ewe isn’t doing what is expected. Help please

I just use a stick to hold the brake pedal down

Do the 4H trick, in Park or reverse (M6), and leave one front tire on the ground.

Without locking diff, it's just like the rear axle. Turn one tire forward and the other turns backwards. Lock down the opposite side and the near side won't turn.

And make sure the Jeep is on when shifting into 4H so that the FAD motor actually locks the axle together.

I'm interested in these spacers as well. Can you elaborate on why you are just doing the front and not the rears? Thanks.

I’m guessing he just used the parking brake for the rears😊

Doing all 4. The rear is easy because the parking brake holds the hubs still while the spacer is put on.
