So far I have installed a stubby antenna, Bartact Paracord rollbar grab handles, mirrors for Doorless driving. I also ordered a compressor cause I was heading to the beach on vacation. My Hothead liners arrived as I was leaving so I packed them and installed in vacation. When I returned yesterday I had received my Westin Snyper Triple tube rock rails and installed them today

Well, modern bumpers are made to absorb impact by crumbling. The steel bumper is great at mitigating bodily damage, but it will bend your frame far easier in less severe collisions, which would likely total your vehicle.

If it would keep me more safe, that's what im after. Once you've been in one head-on collision with a bigger vehicle than yours, it changes the perspective on things...so steel bumper for me.

My bumper crumbled AND my frame was bent so...yea lol

I assume no power mirror or homelink, correct? I ask because there are tutorials on here for them and they are easier than what I did.

That being said, this wasn't bad, you just need a hardwire kit:

Grip the mirror surround (the big surround with the airbag status light) and pull it down/towards you at a slight angle (3 clips each side if I recall correctly).

Feed the wire down, right by the actual mirror post.

Run the wire through the plastic you just pulled down and then down your driver's side pillar.

Pop the "D" shaped plastic piece off the side of your dash to make running the wires easier.

Route the wire through there and under your dash above the pedals (secure the wire to the others or the metal piece that runs across with zip ties.

Remove the climate control by carefully prying (I used a panel tool) the passenger side corner and work your way across. You will then need to unclip the harnesses (I had one for the climate control and one for the start button). This video was very helpful if you need a better explantation.

Then pop your powerpoint panel out like you did the climate control but I started on the driver's side this time because it seemed easier.

Unclip the lighter harness and tap the pink/blue wire (I think it was pink blue, it was def the pink wire with the stripe on it but can't recall the stripe color) and find a ground screw. This is an ACC wire, which is exactly what I wanted.

I noticed despite the cleaning with alcohol, the camera mount is going to struggle to adhere to the rough textured plastic so I'm going to sink a small screw in the base to hold it in better. Also, there was a small harness above the non powered mirror for that airbag light and the visors but I couldn't see to find an ACC wire. Also, there was a harness above the drivers side in the corner but it seemed to only have constant power. I was hoping to find the yellow wire that the powered mirror has but only found a yellow striped and for some reason it wasn't showing power at all. I was struggling to get my multimeter probe in there without pulled the harness apart and already had the power point panel apart so I wasn't trying too hard but you may want to test them too.

Hope this is helpful and sorry for posting in the wrong thread but wanted to help him out. Let me know I you have any questions!

Any write up to go along with that? I need to do the same, and wire my radar detector too...

I ran my CB antenna wire through the Jeep last night up to the glove box area. Next is to make the electrical connections. I found my aux wire bundle easy enough, now just to find a ground stud.

So I gotta get that footwell trim off to get to it. Can I get it just from the door removal trim panel out?

Installed the Rigid D-SS Pro LED Drivering Lights with the Rough Country mounts.
First true mod, first electrical wiring work, etc.

The bolt from the rigid light is just millimeters away from the paint so I added a little rubber stopper for extra protection.

How hard was it to break loose the bolts on the hood as they are painted same time as whole hood.

I did this yesterday and no, the big trim piece has to come off to get to it. You'll need to pop off the wiring harness for the door, and there's a small aluminum nut that needs to be removed before the trim piece will come out.
