Since the wife is a club leader for the local Bronco off road club, this year is shaping up to be scheduled around that. We have United by Bronco in Sand Hollow at the end of February. Followed shortly after by Bronco Stampede in Florence, AZ. I'll be taking the jeep to the second event, but not United. I'll have some time exploring the Kaibab National Forest, South rim area with the JL in a few weeks here as we go out there for a buddy's 40th bday. As for second half of the year, I plan on figuring out a Moab trip. Then i will spend some time in the fall exploring the Mogollon Rim near the AZ/NM border.
Sprinkle in a monthly local trail ride, and that'll be my year! It's possible a Big Bear trip will be thrown in there. We have a Turtleback Trailer, and the Herd of Turtles usually does an annual camping trip there. Which means I'll be bringing the Jeep to do some of the BoH trails in the area.

Love seeing all the trips people have planned!
We are planning a road trip out to Colorado in July. Have family in Vail and also want to stop in Colorado Springs and also Telluride/Silverton/Ouray area to do as many of the BOH trails as we can. We will be solo with our mostly stock JLUR on 35's so any suggestions to stay away from would be appreciated. Some off-road experience but not a lot. Any suggestions on places to stay would be great as well.

Only thing I have planned is the 3 Big Bear badges (gold mtn, John Bull, Holcomb), the Mrs put a veto on the Rubicon this year. She did say yes to 2026 though, so there’s that at least lol. Other than that, it’s difficult to do local runs when my days off are Wednesday and Thursday and everyone does weekend runs.
In Arizona there are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays runs to avoid the Side X Sides that invade the weekends.

Currently only planning a week in March split between Moab and Hurricane(Off Road Games) and then another week for Moab in October. I'm sure a weekend in Big Bend and/or Marble Falls/DFW area might pop up, I need that Northwest OHV badge still

The site sits up above the Rio Grande river with a nice view. It is also close enough of a drive to the hotspirngs that you can go enjoy anytime. Night time is awesome.

I only took one pic at the hot springs. Did not want to be that creepy guy. The night sky from the Hopspring in the river is something to be seen. The spring is blocked off making a pool area. I found all the people that I met there to be very enjoyable.

The wheeling is not difficult, but it is fun and scenic. There is plenty of great hiking too.

That is a great way to spend the summer. Just the other night. I searched along both sides of the Grand Canyon looking for places that I think I can camp on the edge of the canyon on both sides from Page, AZ to Lake Meed.

You will miss us in Colorado. We will be in that area for three weeks in August.

The badge trail are easy except for Holy Cross. I would also suggest that you look at Red Cone. from the North. Not far from Vail, You will climb Websters Pass, go down through the Gulch and back across Red Cone. It is beautiful.

probably more on road stuff then off for me...... but,
Daytona for jeep week. see whats going on there, may try the obstacle course, definitely drive on the beach, may check out some of the trails near by. going w a bunch of guys from work that are not into getting scratched up so, may be a challenge lol.

going to corrolla for spring break in april, drive on the beach, may make it down to Hatteras we shall see.

id like to get down to southern va or over into wva and see what kinda fun we can find.

Road trip with my son up to Ohio to cedar point and then to Norwalk for the Night under fire. Probably the best night under fire out there.

May try to make it to Gulches in SC again. try to get the badge, and have some fun.
I was on Daytona beach a few years ago with the Jeep. It was in the morning during bike week. The beach was not busy so it was nice.

I have tried to wheel at the Gulches 4 different times and it has been closed due to weather each time. That is the problem with the BOH program putting so many trails in parks. Drive a thousand miles and it's closed again.

We enjoy Cape Lookout on the Outer Banks for camping on the coast. It is one of the few places on the east coast were you can sit in a camp chair, watch the sunrise out of the ocean, then turn your chair 180 degrees and watch the sunset in to the ocean from the same spot. Just know if you want to goto Cape Lookout, it requires a Ferry. the Ferry is by reservation only and it usually full months in advance. You can drive about 60 miles on the beach. We set up a base camp at the southern tip.

Out on the tip of the sand bar at sunset.

We camp right next to the dune where the sand bar on the southern tip extends out into the ocean.
