My dad had a Scout when I was a kid...really looking forward to what they're going to do with the namesake. That being said, it would've been smart to go the hybrid route instead of full EV in my opinion. Rivian full electric already kind of fits the bill...unless this Scout is magically much cheaper than I'm anticipating but I highly doubt it.

Just move to Texas, get you a big burly 7 mpg dinosaur fuel powered diesel, dumping soot all over the place, and still pass emissions.... Oh wait, that's right, because we don't have emissions on diesels here!!!

Just move to Texas, get you a big burly 7 mpg dinosaur fuel powered diesel, dumping soot all over the place, and still pass emissions.... Oh wait, that's right, because we don't have emissions on diesels here!!!

seriously— if the Ca bastards manipulates gas prices making my guzzlers too expensive for a DD I will consider replacing the GC with a cheap to drive (home solar) electrified errands alternative.
don’t want to be more than a day’s drive from kids and grandkids. Idaho is now the closest fre- uh non CARB state.

Obviously. But you know I was thinking about rock chips, and a concave windshield (rather than traditional convex) would be essentially chip and crack proof. Just gotta figure out a way to put it on a vehicle without turning it into a parachute.

that’s what I ended up doing - when they made the cost of an EV appliance that much cheaper vs my ICE alternatives, I got a leased Lexus to move around town. When I want to really engage in driving (vs just getting from A to B haf asleep) is when I hop in the Jeep.

Yeah— practical vs fun , with my normal errand route ~ 12 mi, my second one ~ 35 mi a 4Xe would have been the practical choice. I gave it a fleeting thought before ordering the V8, to add to the GCSRT and my old souped up V10 PU…… there is no cure for this old guy’s addiction…. But a future one vehicle rehab might be needed.
