I actually think in my area with the twists and turns of wooded roads and deer galore this might be useful. More than a tire size increase or metal fender liners.
Besides I have a 49" monitor that's pretty f n dumb.....😂
Then just buy them rather than looking for validation online? If you think they are cool and useful go for it and report back.

Seems like an area for light manufacturers to improve upon, especially with new LED technology.
Eh, in order to get the distance for help on country roads/highways, they would probably need to be fairly large. There are small super bright LEDs, but the ones with good distance have too narrow spread to help much with cornering or their spread is too wide and their distance isn’t great. Theres a reason LED headlights are so big.

@Wbino - thought you didn't off road? So why want the knuckle lights that are (badly) designed for off roading?

I have been running them for a while and all I use when I wheel at night are them and my rock lights. No issues pushing several feet of snow ( I stay out of mud ). The wires run up my brake and ABS lines.

I don't off road but I do live in a wooded area with tons of deer.

Good tip on how to run the wires. If your brake lines snag and rip, you've probably got bigger problems than the exposed wires.

So you use them offroad when you're following someone so that your headlights don't blind the car in front? Do you find them more useful than changing the fogs to one with a different reflector/lens for a better illumination zone? Does the fact they turn with your wheels help, or is it more just a "stealth light" option?

I don't like A-pillar/cowl lights because I spend too much of the year cleaning snow off my hood, and every tall bump/protrusion hinders that.

Better off running a wide angle fog and just driving slower if you wanna see deer. Knuckle lights aren't gonna do it. Too low.

At least deer eyes are reflective; I have moose.
Moose eyes are reflective... they're just taller than the headlight beam typically and so the light doesn't catch the reflective layer in their eyes.
