Spare tire issue with dealer

So got my Whilly’s take offs and Falken Rubitrek’s installed today (285/70R17) load range E incase you can’t see it when you zoom in. Looks amazing but, the dealer said I would need a spacer for the spare tire to fit. So….ok just like with anything on these rigs one change leads to something else…Got home took a look and decided it would fit just without the third brake light. He’ll, I like it even better without that POs third brake light what do you all think?

It fits fine with the brake light, you just loosen it and move it up. Still rocking the 3rd brake light on stock wheels with 37s no problem

I think you're eventually going to get ticketed for not having a 3rd brake light, or rear ended.

There are alternate 3rd brake lights out there. Get one.

I can see the light just fine as I drive a lifted JTOD. The rest of the peasants in their little cars I don’t care about.

Isn’t there just a spacer that you can bolt right up to your carrier for like an extra inch of clearance? My wiper is the issue really just to tight with out a tad more space off the carrier.

USDOT requires a third brake light...some states have no code to enforce it....but you certainly will be open to some liability if you get slammed into from behind. There are like 1 trillion options to raise, move, whatever your CHMSL. Might as well do it.

Leave it off. It’s a good way to get to know the local law enforcement in your area.

My third brake light has a height adjustment on it.

Dealer’s a joke it does fit fine…really close but fits maybe they didn’t want to mess anything up. To give them benefit of the doubt. Thanks everybody for the help!

What ever you do don’t get one of those hideous brake lights that sits inside the wheel. Those look about as cool as an angry grill.
I’m probably going to get some shit over my opinion. Lol
