EVIC Displays: SERVICE TRANSMISSION

---> New service procedure for Jeep JL and JT users with manual transmission.

Whenever you replace your clutch or any clutch components you need to run:

With JSCAN:

PCM - Clutch Replacement EEPPROM Reset Procedure - this procedure is required otherwise vehicle will be limited to 30 mph (Limp Mode) and will display Service Transmission message on the instrument cluster.

No Trouble Codes on PCM or other modules, just message on the dash and limited vehicle mobility.

NOTE/Important: Occasionally Service Transmission message may show up after battery disconnect or other service procedures without any clutch related work.

I was getting the message every once in a while but it hasn't stayed or seemed to have effected anything. The next time it comes up i'm going to give this a go.

Just had a JL 6MT with a tire change. aftermarket calibrator (superchips) didn't work. Put vehicle into limp mode witt service tranny message. My snap-on scanner didn't pick up any codes. It ended up going to the dealer where they saw 9 TCM codes.. Go figure!

Just had it pop up again so I did the reset. Hopefully I never see it again!

More folks who've had the recall done need to see this. If you're out in the sticks - even just on a lonesome paved road - knowing how to reset this code to be able to drive back to civilization could be a lifesaver.

Has anyone done this process with their JScan app? I’m trying to run this procedure now but cannot find it in the app. Any advice is appreciated.

You need to update your JSCAN app! This adaption is a very very new add to the app..... SO, you need current / latest JSCAN app update.

Version v25.04.2024.18:45 is current version and does have -> PCM CLUTCH REPLACEMENT EEPROM RESET PROCEDURE
