Took the jetski for a ride in the ocean.....

Jet ski behind jeep is next on my wish list. I just need to find a red and black model to go with the Jeep.

Some desert crawling and racing. Love the mopar 2” lift with fox shocks. Makes the fast Desert driving more manageable.

Scraped for the first time going over a ridge. I actually got under just to look around and it’s pretty cool how much protection is underneath a stock rubicon.

Got my newest steep drop at 25 degrees. I know it’s not much but a fun new mark.

Okay here are some short videos from last weekend that I promised. I wish I had videos of the more difficult spots but its difficult when your spotter is also your videographer, and your Jeep doesn't even have 2000 miles on it yet. I am sure I shocked some people at the off road park that I was out there in a brand new stock Jeep (although a Rubicon) doing some of the more extreme rock climbing.

Headed up the "Modified only" hill. Up was no problem, I did spin the tires a couple times though. Going down, which I have no video of, the drops were a lot more severe and I used the skid plates a lot. Almost high centered too.

Here is a much more manageable "Rocky path", it was simple just letting the 4-low do it thing.


Having some fun, and a little screw up on the 1st attempt. I didn't expect the rock to be movable. Learning a bit at a time.


A couple videos play on some culverts. Front skid plate/bumper gets abused a little.



Need to get back here and do all these obstacles again and get some better video (the big rock hill I almost did again that day, but I was running a little timid after the 1st attempt).

I just took it to the car wash I usually use. They definitely had big eyes when I brought it in like that. They used a blower, vacuum and a lot of hand washing/wiping. They got a good tip!

Had it towed to the dealer. LOL
Reverse would not engage, once finally went in - when you shifted into drive the transmission would make a clinking noise. Jeep was parked in the garage immediately. Called FCA, I was able to have it towed to the closest dealer even though it still ran, that's a nice feature - it does not have to be dead to be towed, you just have to feel unsafe driving the vehicle.

Nothing came up for the tranny, but multiple codes came up for other things. They will also fix the U62 recall.

The Ocean Blue JLU has 810 miles on it and it's sitting in the shop, sometimes wish I still had the red 2010.
Ah well, see what the shop has to say today - FCA is covering the rental so at least I have wheels.

We camped at the North River campground - and just went exploring one day. From the number of jeeps I saw, there are doubtless better trails than we found. Going to investigate more!
