Bought a 17’ Jayco SLXBH and towed it 200 miles with the rubicon today. Went perfect. Could feel it a little on the big climbs so just kept speed about 60 mph on the climbs and had no issues.

Weights 3000lb dry but probably had an extra 500 lbs including passengers in the Jeep.

Went to work, went to lunch, going to drive home. Doesnt sound that exciting until you realize its a Wrangler! On the real though, gonna do some Jeep things one of these days. Need to get offroad before I take her to Sheriff's Jeepfest in Jasper, GA late summer.

Nice. I think I'll be going to that also. If you hit up any trails before that, let me know and I'll roll with you.

Just got back from a 3000+ mile road trip from Minnesota to Glacier National Park and Banff, Canada. Thrilled with the JL's performance on the entire trip. Comfortable, "good" mileage, well behaved on the highways, and just plain fun for camping and driving around the mountains. Ended up averaging ~25mpg over 3200 miles. Not bad for a brick on wheels!

I made a mesh top from a mesh tarp purchased at Harbor Freight, along with grommets and bungee balls purchased there (and a pair of scissors) when I moved from my hard to soft top. It blocks a percentage of the UV rays. Some would rather focus attention on sunblock (hardly are the two mutualy exclusive) and not lose the completely open air feel. I get that.

My point is, I may very well keep the mesh top in when I switch back to the Hard Top at summer's conclusion so when I take off the Freedom Panels like you did, I have sun protection.

Spent the day up at Lake Tahoe with my girls. First stop was Squaw Valley, second stop was lunch on the lake and third stop was North Star resort. I didn’t get a good pic of the Jeep at the Lake because we were having so much fun enjoying the drive with the top off that I forgot. I guess we need another trip for Jeep photo opps. ;):sun:

Northwest overland Rally this weekend was awesome. Did the “off road course” and where the Subaru’s and Toyota’s hadn’t wheels in the air and slipping all over the rubicon kept all her wheels down and crawled through everything. Didn’t get pics of that because driving but the spotter was shocked at how much flex there was. He kept saying he couldn’t believe all 4 where touching. I was the only JL doing the course. Saw one other one there totally stock but didn’t see it doing the challenges.
