What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

Sweet!! Where did you order yours? I ordered from Quadratec and they are still saying two weeks.

Looks nice! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it after using it a bit.

I ordered direct from Tuffy the day they came out. The installation is a pain in the a$$, but it works as advertised, it's not going anywhere. Ever. It doesn't bolt to anything on the Jeep. The USB port is still accessible. The lid does block the LED light from shining into the console.

Installed the Tuffy Security Console. More difficult than you'd think working with two hands in such a small space. It felt like building a ship in a bottle.

If you don't mind checking, does locking your keyfob in the tuffy block the proximity function of the keyfob?

Good question. I placed the fob inside the lockbox. The ignition system still recognized it and I was able to start the Jeep. The proximity system did not recognize it and the little button on the handle would not lock the Jeep. Also, if I reached in through an open window and locked it manually, the Jeep did not recognize that the fob was still in the vehicle and allowed the fob to be locked inside.

The jeep IS recognizing the fob is in the jeep, that's why locking features work thru an open window. If the fob is outside the proximity range you can't use power lock button to unlock thru open window.
Typically you can't lock the doors with the fob while the fob is still inside.

I doubt they'll be able to do anything for you. The problem is most likely your specific iPhone/software. Another fix could come via Uconnect software update. Check for updates here:

Took it back to the dealer yesterday for the 4th time in three months, for a software upgrade. Got in the Jeep, it didn’t recognize the iPod that was plugged into the center console, and my iPhone had to be reconnected. And, the problems I’ve been having are still there.

I got back from my 4th trip to a Jeep dealer in three months for this issue. Got the upgrade, and it still doesn’t work right. An iPod in the center console has to be unplugged and plugged back in every time I start the car. My iPhone was not recognized and I had to pair it again so I would have a NAV system.

Standard response from the dealer, “well, this is new technology, we’re trying to figure it out.” No, CarPlay has been available in several model years at this point.

How long did the shop take to install the Mopar lift?

I have a local guy that I go to and I've had that strip put on my last two Jeep and even my Cadillac XT5, which shockingly did not have a tinted windshield. I love the strip as it measurable cuts down on the sun in your eye effect.

I'll post a pic tomorrow of it installed.

Got window tint (25%) on drivers and passengers front. Also got a strip across the top of the windshield to help with sun in my eyes. Here is a pic of the completed project.

How long did the shop take to install the Mopar lift?

Dropped it off Thursday morning so Lift was on. My wheels were delayed so I didn’t get them to dealer until 2 so it was done this morning at 9. If I had everything there at the start I would have got it back the same day.
