i need your help guys in regard to PCM

hello everyone,
i have unlocked my jl 2022 and tuned by HPtuner and I'm very happy with the result. however, our dealers in UAE now days are checking the PCM for any modification to cancel the factory warranty . my question is now can i get new PCM locked identical to what i had and use it as of nothing happen. if yes, can you please provide me with the trusted companies. i want to make the purchase and be in a safe side, if i took my jl for regular maintenance. so far most of my friends jeeps got their warranties cancelled already.

You'll never be able to do that since the ECU Software is checked with a CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) value. This CRC value will only match the factory software load and configuration. Your best bet, is to reinstall the factory ECU and return the gateway back to normal if you have it unplugged or something like a Tazer stacked on top of the tune.

This may still throw a red flag since the mileage won't match between the factory ECU and the dash. The dash also has a rolling CRC code for matching things like mileage and calibrations. You may be screwed here. I haven't found a way around this yet, but someone on here might have. You asked in the right place.

many thanks for your time to respond to my post . our groups now are trying to find a solution before the next trip to the dealer....its my fault i was supposed to get a new ECM and play with it


one more thing 1 of my friend got his ecu tuned by HPTuner same as me, and went back to stock. however, the dealer found out. they told him no matter what you do we will find out since the ECU was showing code "P something" which was not visible to him only to the dealer when they hooked their machine to the jeep.

There are two ways to deal with this...either tune and live without a warranty or wait until the warranty expires and then do whatever you want.

life is too short why waiting, just trying to find a getaway incase something big happened to my lovely jl
