Highway PSI for Falken Wildpeak AT3W

2021 80th Anniversary JLU, no lift, stock 18" rims.​

Just bought Falken Wildpeak AT3W - 275/70r18 (E) to replace stock Dueler 255/70r18.​

​

Will be getting new rims in the spring and probably keep the stock rims for the harsh Prince Edward Island winters.​

​

Anyone running same size Wildpeak AT3Ws on JLU that have tested different psi on highway?​

I do and run them at 37 PSI. They're quiet at 37 and the wear has been pretty even. You could run less if you want a more comfortable ride but you'll be adding some extra road noise and will reduce your MPG a little by doing so.

I only know the Rubi door sticker off the top of my head, but here's the comp to that setting. With the higher PSI rating of this size in E, it tends to push up the PSI rating for the set load.

In general, the stock pressure is thought to be a few PSI on the high side for comfort, also the loading at that PSI well exceeds GVWR. As Cunky has experienced, 37ish should be a good balanced start.

Thanks for the information guys. I was planning on starting with 36 psi to see how the drive was. Unfortunately, with the Prince Edward Island winter the chalk test is not possible unless I can get indoor somewhere.

JLU weights are pretty balanced front/rear, I always match them up, then bump the rears up for towing.
