Trying to decide on my lift for the spring. I came across this kit - wondering if anyone has run this kit or these shocks? Seems like most threads are on the 5000 or 9000 series shocks. Can't find too much real world feedback on the RS7MTs. I'd add the rancho control arms (lowers and uppers for front and rear) and the front and rear track bars.

I'm mostly between this kit and doing the Clayton 1.5" kit with fox 2.0 shocks. The Clayton kit seems to get good reviews, but would be $1000-$1500 more (that buys a lot of bourbon) and I'm a little concerned about the Fox shocks being too soft (but likewise have read several reviews of bilstein shocks being too firm).

Open to other ideas as well - I want a 1.5" to 2" lift kit that will ride nice and support a winch/bumpers/etc and looking to be around $2500 all in.

Thanks!

Don't forget you can separate the shocks from the kits when comparing pricing. You could run the Ranchos on the Clayton, or the Foxes on the Rancho if you wanted to.

You'll probably want QD front sways.

If you really have to have your Pappy, I'd prioritize shocks over getting all the arms if you aren't going for a flex monster. A pair of fronts will get your caster back, and the stock bushings will last a while as long as you retorque at the new ride height.

Thanks! Pappy will have to wait awhile LOL! True on the shocks, I'd like to buy coils/shocks that are tuned for each other...I know Clayton tuned with the Fox 2.0s. I have the rubicon sway bar disco. Good idea on the control arms, I'm at 85k, so not sure how much life the stock ones have left.

He has done a lot of write ups over there.
Ted also posts on here a lot too. I feel like he has installed 6+ of these systems over the years on folk's Jeeps.

Does he have a write up of it anywhere? Thanks!
