What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

So this happened yesterday. Wife loved the Jeep so much I had to get her one of her own.....Fire Cracker Red. It's official, we are a Jeep family. My son has a 96 Cherokee

Almost same happed to us - in reverse!
Now the debate is who’s JL we drive when we go somewhere together!

Installed the Dana Spicer 30 cover on the front!
Very cool. When I drained differential there appeared to be WAY less than 1.3 quarts in there.

Installed the same cover on mine last week and noticed the same thing. I measured the drain fill and it came out to 0.7 quarts. Fill to the low pinion angle hole took exactly 1.0 quarts of gear oil and I had the axle perfectly level using a digital level.

Unfortunately the sahara doesnt have switchbacks on a single bulb. There are 2 bulbs on the fender. One is a drl and one is a turn signal.

Sorry for the confusion. I thought you had installed switch backs. There are two bulbs in the fendor of the sport but no DRL. Similar to the headlights the larger (front facing) bulb probably has 4 wires in the Sahara/Rubicon but only 3 in the Sport trims. Appears a 4rth wire is for the DRL. I will confirm after reviewing the wiring diagrams.

lol you and me both, except I've done that maybe a dozen times already since I've had my JL. You should see my tailgate and my horrible attempts at spot-patching the paint job. Also chipped a little bit of the hardtop off at some point - don't know how that happened.

But hey, it's life - cars are meant to take a beating, and the way I look at it, jeeps especially are gonna get dinged up and scratched and have all sorts of battle scars and stories to tell. My wife and I already have some good laughs, mostly dealing with getting this darn hard top on and off.

Lol that is true. I guess I shouldn’t feel as bad. Waking up at 3am and getting drenched attempting to put the top on is definitely a story to tell.
