Excited to go back to smorr and hot springs for the new badges. Good to see new areas added as well. What a cool program that has cost me a fortune!

I submitted a trail through the app but looks like it didn't make the new list. I need to get back out there and start collecting more badges. I'm now 4 more badges behind. ?

I ran my first JBOH trails last Friday and SMORR is the closest to us...ran Guardrail, Pee Wee's Crossing and the new one which SMORR believed was supposed to be live, Cougar Crossing. Had an amazing time and wow SMORR is a wonderful place, very well maintained and super friendly staff.

Hoping we can submit the pics of Cougar Crossing to support and get "credit" for running that one...if not, next time. Planning Hot Springs in September.

It was great to finally get the Jeep out after I finished the initial build...

Hot springs has the feel of smorr in terms of the trails. Except across the street there has a east coast mud wheeling feel. I see both as excuses to return to the parks ?. The whole boh program has sucked me in.

Please hit me up when you head this way...I am in NE Oklahoma and both parks are fairly close. We got really lucky and met the only other 2 folks at SMORR last Friday and they were there to run the same trails...was amazing meeting new folks, evaluating the trails together and just knowing you had that safety blanket of another vehicle!

We had already signed up for the Jeep Jamboree in Hot Springs / September and that will be our first JJ. We also made the cut for the October Jeep Jamboree in Moab so busy fall planned!

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
I have a love/hate feeling towards the Jeep Badge of Honor Program. I don't think they should add any trails unlit they get their shit together.

I love the fact that the program exist. It gives a person, purpose and a destination to go out and wheel. The app works well and is easy to use. They have some great trails, and some not great trails, like WTF is this? A mini van can do this trail. Like who was responsible for make this trail a Badge of Honor trail?

I have done 55 of the badge trails from all around the country. At one time I was pushing to get them all done. Note I am very goal orientated so it drives me crazy knowing that I don't have them done. When I say I have done 55 of them, that means driving there and running the trail, not doing a drive by or tire checking the location. It means running the trail. If I was a tire ckecking badge collector, I would have Beasly Knob, the Gulches as I have tried to get these trails four time coming from Michigan. Each time they have been closed due to weather when I got there. I would have Poughkeepsie Gulch, as I have been in striking range twice and it has been closed, one from an avalanche and the other, it opened up one day after I left the area. I have been by Dusty Ershim too, but the trails was still closed. Trust me, I wanted to check into Dust Ershim as the trail is 4,834 mile round trip to for me from Michigan. When people say it is a free badge, trust me, driving 4834 miles in a Jeep is not free, two weeks of traveling is not free, the tires are not free, the wear and tear on the Jeep is not free. I will still work on getting them all, even though I know it is not possible as they will continue to add new trails and I will never be done.

Now for hate part. I hate the fact that the program is so poorly managed. The fact that they never respond to an email is just ridiculous. The fact that people wait over a year to receive a badge. There is just zero excuses for in my case it taking 16 months to receive four of the badges that I earned. If it is taking a program over a year to fill an order and ship, the people doing that job should be fired. There is zero reasons for any of the badges taking over a month, let alone over a year to ship. There is just no excuse for it. If they can't manage the work load they currently have, they should not be increasing it until they have their shit together. They should also not honor request for badge that are claimed when the trail is not opened.

At the end of the day, I still like the program, I just wish they would get their shit together as the Jeep community deserves better from Jeep.

They just created the BOH as a promotion for Jeep and to sell more jeeps..........

I understand that. The thing is they disappoint thousand of Jeep people every year with the mismanagement of the the program. The exact people that they are targeting for Jeep sales. It is not hard to find thousands of negative post about the Jeep Badge of Honor program on this forum, on probably every Jeep forum, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. It should not be a thing of waiting a year plus to ship a product. This would not be acceptable business practice anywhere in 2023. It is not like they are using the Pony Express to deliver the badges via a horse.

After all how hard is it nowadays to ship a piece of plastic.

I agree with @wibornz, if you're going to have a program like this at least do decent job of running it. It's extremely frustrating to not be able to contact BOH and the trails they pick are random AF.
