Any order guide updates?

And just wondering why is there 4 order guides for 4-26-23? Other than 2dr and 4dr, whats the difference between the two?
That's the only difference... 2 Door vs 4 Door

I skipped the X package because I don't want black leather in Arizona and nor the color matched roof and fenders. I also wanted to pick my own steel bumpers if I decide to add that additional weight in the future. I ended up paying more by adding most of the the other available groups so I could order the black 3 piece top and then get after market leather in a color and style I want.
Thanks, although getting Mopar Leather seats after-the-fact is about 4 grand CAD...
I'm not sure why/when they created these different packages with these limitations. - I get it...it makes life easier for Mopar/combinations...inventory...etc but not very customer friendly.

Or maybe I just settle for the cloth seats and get a "base" Rubicon :(

You can get nice katzkin or comparible leather seats installed by an upholstery shop for about the same cost as the optioned mopar leather. At least that's what I found when doing a little research after finding out I couldn't option leather in a base rubicon. If that holds true, not a deal breaker for me since I'll still get what I want for similar cost in the end. Actually I need to look into Mitch@Ourisman's offer some more when I get closer to delivery. It sounded like the dealer can install too. If cost is similar to an upholstery shop, I may just go that route for convenience.

I just contacted mark dodge and they quoted $4k less than my local dealer. Might be switching my order if ancira can’t get more competitive.

So interesting that even the new order guide still shows you can option leather sets in a base rubicon. I might contact my dealer to see if it can be added now out of curiousity.

Hi Jay,

When the Canadian pricing will become available, will you be able to obtain it?

Thanks,
Danile

And they still have not corrected the pricing on the 2 door half doors. Was told by one of the Granger sales people "corporate is working on it". I have no expectations of it getting fixed.

Years ago a recall was issued for an older Jeep Grand Cherokee model year to install a trailer tow hitch on those Jeeps not equipped with one; it seems that those Grand Cherokee's that were rear ended without tow hitches were prone to catch fire due to fuel tank rupture. I have never towed anything, but I always buy a vehicle with a trailer tow package. It is a little additional protection for the people if rear ended.

Still no Willys Sport :crying:
They’re not doing one anymore cause the Willys is now a true Rubi-lite.

If they did, it would likely have to come without the rear locker and/or no floating axles (unless those are now standard but I really don’t think they are).

This being said, I fully expect them to bring back something to fill that “gap” between Sport S and Sahara. Probably the Freedom (aka “Oscar Mike”) because they have that as a model right now (edited because I just looked and see that Freedom editions are available on the MY23 JLs).

Id like to see a return of the Islander or Big Mountain editions, being regionally available. Like how they do the Texas Trail editions and such for the JTs ?‍♂

I just ordered with Mark Dodge. $4000 less than dealers in San Antonio. Can’t wait for the rubi-x to come in. That’s more $$$ for upgrades ?

I'm still hopeful that the Willys Sport will return. I think they could strip away some luxury features and keep the rear locker for about $4k below the Willys price point. When they first introduced the Willys trim for JL, I think they waited a couple months later to introduce the Willys Sport. Maybe that pattern repeats, maybe not. For folks who are interested in offroad capability without other bells and whistles, there is a big price gap between the basic Sport and the Willys ($6750 wholesale).

Edit to add: Based on order guides, I don't think the Willys gets a full floating rear axle.

They have been offering seasonal or themed jeeps in the past, wondering what will be offered this year.

The freedom usually opens up ordering around August to have them available for veterans day. Last orders end of Oct early Nov. (I just missed the cut off by a couple days last year)
The freedoms you see on the 23 configurator can't be ordered and have likely been sitting on the lot since Feb or longer.

2016 Sport 2door manual
As much as I wanted a Willy’s Sport, I just don’t think it’s coming. My own personal view, it appears they are making a direct effort to simplify. For example even base 2door Sport get many of the upgrades (like screen, AC, premium top). I had to add AC and premium top to my 2016 Sport.

And “forcing” many to go the turbo 4 (If u want automatic and not a rubicon).

Im like others, don’t care about power windows, door locks, alarms, power mirrors, etc. especially since I go 2door. But guessing, at some point, it doesn’t save that much not putting them in since different production.

Id like to b wrong. But I’m ordering a Willy’s 2door manual by end of year.
