What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

The rack is only for hardtops. There are solutions for soft tips but it requires either drilling into the side of you Jeep or installing a whole cage. I’ve seen the version where the mounting points are permanently attached/drilled into the rear sides quarter panels on a JKU and it looked pretty-good. The only issue then is how to you fold the soft top back when you have a roof rack. Some cages allow you to tilt them back but again what if it’s full loaded with gear. Other option is bikini top with a cage and just deal with the rain if it comes.

Figured the full stealth wrap would be $5k or so. I thought about getting the front end done as I had it done on my Audi, but gonna pass this time around. Will give me an excuse to get that matte black grill later and possibly a new hood when more Mopar options come out.

Was installing new sliders. Passenger side went on fine. In the process of taking off 1st body bolt on Driver side in middle: Snapped. right off. &$#@!

Dealer is 5 mins away. Went to dealer. "Not something we can do today. Come back Monday." "We hope all we have to do is drill out, re-thread and put in new body bolt."

We hope. So dumb on my part. Not sure what happened. Clearly did something wrong. Not covered under warranty. Gonna cost $150 - 300.

They said given all the other body bolts attached I should be fine to drive it until Monday: He said, no off roading or sharp sudden turns.

I remember installing that on my JK with the hinge covers. That was a pain in the a$$. So I assume it was a perfect fit? Any issues. Thinking of adding one, but the wife hates it when I’m carrying around a 40lb jack.

very easy to install, just needed to to get larger bolts from the hardware store and slightly enlarge the hole on the top bracket, did a write up

i don't plan on running the jack on there full time, because north east winters and salt but nice to have when i go out on the traiils

Took our 2 grandsons on a drive, a little off roading, fished, did some shooting and enjoyed the mountains. Our first wrangler, so much fun!

I put a set of @XTJake Barricade mirrors on from Extreme Terrain on, and they are really nice. I went with the round mirrors and they are big, so they work well. I also put a Forever Wave flag on my CB antenna. This red Jeep is now ready for the 4th of July! Finally, I washed it and put a coat of Turtle Wax Ice paste wax on it to impress my wife, which made her want to go for a nice evening Jeep ride!
