Very easy. I think 3 screws per side for the plastic piece. After that there’s 4 bolts per side for the bracket to remove. It’s purpose was to hold the plastic piece.Thank you.
Was it easy to take them off?

Do you have a side-by-side of the plati-dip red and the Rubi trim red?Plastidip sprayed the grill black and inserts red today. I think I’m going to fully embrace the red accents.

I'm failing to understand your question. Why does your grill look like just the outer shell and inner mesh grill?
Sorry, when I look at the pics of your grill it looks like you only have the part that’s painted black and the mesh grill that’s painted red. If you look at my previous post showing my plastidiped grill, I have the part I painted black, the inserts painted red and the mesh grill pieces I left black. Seems they are made different. I’m just curious if in fact the different JL models have slightly different grills.I'm failing to understand your question.
Lucky.Well, we went to the ranch on the east side of Mt.Hood looking for a problem big Cougar that was too close for comfort Friday and decided to see if we could break the new winch in. The wife was certain we were getting stuck, striped or dented. 38 degree max incline and a little offcamber fully locked and no problem, I really love the rig!!! Never saw the cougar again but had a great weekend

Ya the Saraha and Rubicon have the same inserts...the Sport was left out apparently when they made those design changes LOLSorry, when I look at the pics of your grill it looks like you only have the part that’s painted black and the mesh grill that’s painted red. No, sorry but I do not. You can however get an idea of how the plastidip red matches the front hooks in the pictures I posted. I don't want to over do it with red accents but feel it compliments the existing red exterior pieces and ties in with the red stitching on the interior as well as the black/red car seats I have installed.Do you have a side-by-side of the plati-dip red and the Rubi trim red?
I’m also embracing the red trim/highlights, but have missed the match on a couple of bolt ons.
Have you posted pics of the black/red seats? No, sorry but I do not. You can however get an idea of how the plastidip red matches the front hooks in the pictures I posted. No, I have not. I'd be happy to do so.Have you posted pics of the black/red seats?
That would be great. Thinking of putting that combo in mine. Originally going to do it, but the more I sit in cloth, the more I like feel, not necessarily look. Any opinion on that, the feel? No, I have not. I'd be happy to do so.
I guess I should have been clearer on describing 'car seats'. I mean for my two junior Jeepers. That would be great. Thinking of putting that combo in mine. Originally going to do it, but the more I sit in cloth, the more I like feel, not necessarily look. Any opinion on that, the feel?
Thanks for the chuckle. I was thinking you did leather. I've got one of those seats too, and that's why I'm thinking of leather.I guess I should have been clearer on describing 'car seats'. I mean for my two junior Jeepers.![]()
Woot! Gonna show my girl this post :cwl:Can you please post pics? I haven’t gotten around to ordering the hotheads yet. This past weekend my wife, the beautiful kshayenglish, PlastiDipped the inside of my hardtop and took lead on installing new Hothead Headliner panels and Sound Assassin strips. The results were AWESOME!
One note: If you're considering this mod and are planning to clear coat the PlastiDip, make sure you have a good spray gun and the right technique!
