I've noticed the US Navy is impressively detached from it's ships. They're always trading up too.
Nuclear weapons and Aircraft Carriers were such game-changers that they just gave up on ships with guns...

US / UK SOF. Nice. Good dudes if you ever meet them or get to work with them.
If you thought US Marines were a rowdy bunch, go meet some Royal Marines...

I've always wanted a magic wand where I could put a "spell" on their vehicle. It would just start to fall apart as they drove until they were sitting on the ground in their damn seat with nothing else around. Just a trail of damn parts!

Fun fact: I grew up in NJ, so I can also lay claim to this beauty:

Did the museum tour of her about 12-13 years back...
Yes that's one of the few I haven't done a tour on yet.

Needs of the Corps .. as they say. I think it is interesting how similar we tend to be with our ancestors, whether we try to be - or not.
Yes, the last of my direct line of ancestors that was anything other than artillery was My Great Great Grandfather, in the Civil War. He was infantry and was wounded at Gettysberg. Since then, we've all been artillery.

Bombarda Maxima would be a good one there, unless you just skip straight to Avada Kedava.

Sean, I have always considered the USMC to be a special operating force, though most do not. They are the oldest organized fighting force in US history, but in American History the Rangers pre date them. However, the USMC have been in continuous service since their formation, where the Rangers were only raised in times of War, until the 1950s.

My father and brother were Carrier guys. Dad was a motor machinist. Brother was ejection seat tech, can't remember the actual rating. I was a bartenders mate! bwahahahahahaahahahahahaha. That was the running joke cuz the crossed cannons could be mistaken for beer bottles. I was the odd son, destroyer dork. But I got to play with missiles! hehe
