Best rearview mirror camera?

I just picked up my new Jeep last week from AEV and it has 37s with the 10.2 gallon fuel cell. The result is that the rearview mirror is pretty damn useless.

Does anyone have significant experience with the various remote-mounted rearview mirror cameras?

Ideally:

• Clear image
• Records front and rear (I've been screwed over by someone backing into me)
• Looks appropriate w/o wires running everywhere

If you search AliExpress you’ll find plenty of options for full screen mirror dash cams. I had a 2ch and a 3 ch one on my 2018.
Amazon will have some of the same but at higher cost/better return policy.

The brightness can be annoying at night but you get used to it. Another issue is your sun visor will hit the mirror unless you angle it perfectly in the middle of the vehicle (most mirrors are 10in).

I have the Akaso DL12 which I bought on Amazon for around $130 iirc; but it's not available there anymore. I love mine (my 1st cam, so there's that). It's clear, you can have front/rear, just front or just rear on. Importantly to me, since I wear sunglasses all day when outside, there's no blacking out of the image due to polarization. I'm including a couple shots taken a few minutes ago (the double image of the time, speed etc is NOT visible w/ my eyes, it seems to be due to the camera).

BTW, it also appears brighter in the photos due to the camera's auto-exposure. It's still fine, tho; and daytime images are perfect.
Installing took around 1 1/2 hrs because I wanted to hide the cables as well as possible. Overall, quite happy w/ it.

Looks great. I'm guessing that it's 12" and blocks your sun visor as mentioned by @weeitsmikelee, right?

I have that one, works great. Was able to get it from crutchfield for far less, not sure if on sale anymore though…

They have a great installation video, but very little about the mirror itself. Decent build / camera / display quality?

couple things i don't like:
1) the bezel is gloss plastic, so you get "sparkle" reflections from lights behind you.
2) the screen has a screen saver that you can only set a delay time for, but can't turn off. so for the first minute of driving, you see the front cam view on the rear-view mirror.
my previous stand-alone dash cam had the same feature. standard on chinese dash cams?
3) comes with a rear cam, bit i have no idea how or where to mount it (in a wrangler).
4) i think i got a used one, fingerprints on the glass.
5) can't get the app to connect to it.

The quality seems solid. It also comes with the mounts to fully replace the JL mirror, not sure about the replacement if you have the non-base mirror… it’s nice it’s a complete unit

I have the 37” spare, so the LCD mirror is really a game changer for visibility, regardless of brand.

I love how it's a complete mirror replacement, but like you mentioned I'm wondering if that will work with the Advanced Safety Group.

The only downside I can see with this one is that it doesn't have a forward looking camera. So no dashcam capability. But still, I like a lot about it.
