Does anyone else's JL feel like you have to push the brakes pretty hard to kick off the cruise control?

Every other vehicle I've had just takes a light tap to begin coasting. On my JL it feels like the brakes fight the cruise control before it cancels cruise. I've been using the cancel button instead of just tapping the brakes..

Just wondering if this is common or an issue that can be corrected/adjusted.

Thanks!

Yea, mine is more travel than normal like you say. Seems to work better if I just push on the brake instead of tap it.

I don't have my JL yet so I cannot comment specifically on it, but I've adjusted the brake switch on other cars. Usually you unplug the brake switch, loosen the lock nut, screw the brake switch a little, tighten lock nut, and reattach the cable. Then tap the brakes and look for the brake lights to illuminate. You'll probably have to adjust it a few times to your liking, this usually works on clutch pedals too.

Thanks. I'm definitely going to try this when I have time.

I used CC frequently and I haven't noticed that yet. I think if I was turning off CC I would just press the cancel button since my fingers are near the accelerate and decelerate buttons anyways.

Yes. To the point the car actually brakes. Every other car I've had I could tap and the brakes wouldn't apply but CC would disengage.

You can hit the cancel button on the steering wheel.
