Working on being a burden to my children.
So, to get a jump on having all of my new goodies on hand in anticipation of the arrival of my new 2022 JLUR 3.0 Eco-Diesel, I ordered the 2" Mopar lift kit (P/N 77072399AF) online. All of my correspondence with the seller has the correct part number, but upon arrival I found that they shipped me the older "AE" lift kit. I have no idea what changed between the two part numbers but would sure like to know if it's worth bitching about.
Does anyone know the difference (other than the part number)?

OP,
Not to revive a old thread but did you ever find a answer to the difference between the part numbers?

Yes I did. The parts manager at the dealer that I ordered my new Jeep through told me that the last letter is basically the lot number of that particular run of parts. I did find that Mopar has not updated the install instructions to reflect current model. My instructions had a 2020 date and there were a couple of minor differences between 2020 and 2022 models.
One item to note is the new front sway bar drop links supplied in the kit have a different thread pitch than the stock links and don't supply new hardware for them. Lucky for me, I have a good stock of metric hardware and had the correct nuts.

I don't know what year it was but somewhere in the history of the Mopar kit they changed the design of the front coil spring perch to help with the issue of the bowing springs.

Funny that you say that because the illustration in the install instructions show them bowed out as being correct. I had read about the bowed out issue, so I ordered and installed the Rock Krawler coil spring correction pads...now they actually bow inward too much so when I get a chance I'm going to replace them with the ones that came with the Mopar lift kit.

The RK helped mine a lot. Maybe Mopar has fixed the springs so that the RK are no longer needed.

Yours looks much better than mine. My driver side will contact the bottom corner of the frame when I hit a hard bump. Passenger side has about 1/4" clearance. I double checked coil clocking and mine are correct, so that's not the problem.
Mine is the Eco- Diesel...is yours?

I know this is an aging thread but in case someone else picks up the "AE" kit for their diesel. I had the same issues, instructions printed in 2020. Front end links indeed are a different thread pitch than stock, no heat shields on the UCA frame side as it was in my 3.6 and the shocks included in the kit for the rear didn't match what was listed on the parts list, instead they were for the 3.6 and 2.0 motors. Don't think the rears really matter.

I had the same issue with the shock part numbers not matching the listed number, I believed it didn't matter as well and rolled with them. Jeep really needs to keep instructions updated...along with correct hardware!

Maybe thats the single difference between "AE" and "AF" ?
