We have become more aware of the cost of certain colors vs. others. Also, some colors require a ground coat, before color. Extra material & time.
So, colors are not created equal, as far as cost.

Nice stuff, there have been many threads about color matching interior parts. Maybe you could offer an option of a clear 3M or similar wrap on the door handles and dash panels. That steering wheel is swanky, but the Alcantara wont last long in a Jeep.

Perhaps a good idea, but we don't wrap parts.

We are currently building a Tuscadero fiber steering wheel & trim, for a customer.
They fell in love with the bikini wheel with alcantara, but like you, questioned the durability of the alcantara. So, they ordered black perorated leather (diamond pattern) sides & smooth bottom.

Really it 's the use or abuse the wheel receives that impacts the appearance.

We have made many Raptor carbon fiber wheels trimmed in alcantara for customers.
No complaints.
