I have to get used to it.... I had a tacoma with the TRD exhaust on it and it gave it a bit of growl. But this is a bit louder and more aggressive sounding. I was originally going to order the black dual axle back but changed my mind last second
do u have a video?

Stop buying other lifts! ;)

Also, you don't need coilovers for this kit, you can move to them eventually. I think I read that these will work with the stock springs and shocks.
LoL, I think I can try every lift kit currently available for what that combo is going to end up running:piggybank:

I would prefer to do the coilovers before the long arm kit. I know from the JK that the EVO valved Kings ride awesome, but I prefer other companies control arm joints for comfort... My Jeep will always be a bastard. I never run just one companies components.

I put on the SS Door Sill Guards.

I like the door sill guards. They worth the price you think? Easy to install? I’m thinking about it.

Debadged "Sahara" and removed Wrangler Unlimited sticker. Think may black out Jeep letters with plasti dip. Just needs a little clean up.

Was debating doing this when I get mine. Easy to debadge? What was your process?

As for the plastidip of the Jeep emblem, I want to do that too but not until they sell inserts to change our Silver Sahara front grille inserts to black. Then they all match.

I have not yet and have driven behind a couple of police officers with no issues. I agree with your other post as well that the halogens were so dull at night that it was more dangerous to drive with them than switch to aftermarket LEDs.
This is why FCA should make the LEDs standard or at list an option across all trims. It’s ridiculous that they don’t. Cost in materials is minimal here, but you can’t put a price tag on safety.

Now we’re going to see more and more people switch to aftermarket HIDs or LED that might not be street legal. I’m not saying these aren’t but many people do just to get the brighter lights. Problem is they blind oncoming drivers. I’ve seen my fair share of after market lights on plenty of oncoming vehicles where I had to slow down as my vision shifted and adjusted. I’ve even seen vehicles with off road lights on while on the highway.

My point is the technology for lighting has moved on beyond halogens. All munufactures need to make LEDs standard now.

Actually wasn't an option on the Sport to get the LEDs from the factory. The lights I received aftermarket were approved for JL and I would assume legal. I have passed a few policemen on my drive at night without issue and some other trucks with some pretty blinding lights as well. Definitely wasn't my intention to distract other drivers with my lights and didn't realize it was an issue until I drove at night quite a bit after they were installed. I installed them because the halogens were horrible and I could not see anything in the area where I live, it was actually unsafe. Appreciate your suggestion though. :like:
That's why I said "if an option." If not, I go back to "wait til the aftermarket catches up." Approved for the JL means nothing, they need to be DOT compliant, and swapping bulbs is not. Designed for the JL or not, an LED in a halogen housing is not going to comply with any regulations.

Just because you've passed cops means nothing, I know of people that have gotten ticketed in PA for it and have had to return to the police department within X number of days to prove they removed them.

Did you know auxiliary lighting is illegal in PA unless they are off and covered when on the road? Do you know how many trucks I see a day running stupid light bars blinding oncoming traffic? The cops are either are unaware, or have something more important to do. Again, I wish this was more enforced.

I'm not trying to be a dick, I promise. And I get it, I have a JK [for now] and those halogens were even worse. And as unsafe as they feel, they meet requirements. So I spent $600 on DOT complaint street legal replacement headlights. And with how popular LEDs are now, those prices have come down significantly. I'm sure this will be something supported by the aftermarket very soon!

While we're on the topic of "illegal but not always enforced," let me at least warn you that driving without doors in PA is against vehicle code as well, and if enforced, can result in a hefty fine (for PA residents). Doesn't stop me or most people, but something to be aware of!

I feel the same ... our JLUR is my wife's DD - I never seem to get a drive. Might need to add another one to the stable!

I like those door sill guards too.

Wasn't hard to debadge, took a heat gun to the Sahara letters and they pried off with fingers easily. Then pull back on the adhesive, came off easy.

Doing plasti dip around the front grill would be a bit of prep work but do-able.

I’d probably take the front grill off to remove the silver parts and only pasti dip those (might do it eventually :) )

Yep... that's what I plan to do. Not sure if I'm feeling the "silver/gray" inserts.

If I plastidip the front grille inserts black, will have to do the same to the Sahara front bumper fog light trim that is also gray/silver.

Removed the plastic top plate and air dam from the front bumper. Tomorrow the plastic Rubicon bumper is coming off. Will be installing Barricade trail force HD full width bumper with Smittybilt x20 10k winch. Anyone in central FL that would like a free JL Rubicon bumper, pm me.

Please post pics of the new bumper and let us know how easy the install goes! I'm looking at purchasing the same bumper but hesitating on pulling the trigger.
Will you be reusing the LED fog lights in the new bumper?

I will be posting pics and yes I will be using the led fog lights. I've spent enough money without buying new fog lights!

Picked up Monday, ordered new rims/wheels Tuesday. Have put on about 550 miles since I picked up. Filled up the tank Tuesday evening and almost need to fill up again. They seriously lied about MPG. oh, well. not my first gas hog nor will it be my last.
