Hey guys I appreciate the help with the LEDs and thought I might ask everyone their opinion on mounting locations for LED rock lights.

I have a 10 piece kit so I was thinking about doing two in every wheel well with one in the back and front.

I was thinking about using Panhead screws that are self tapping because the ones that come with it require that I pre-drill everything. Is this a shortcut anyone would recommend taking? I was going to seal up everything with silicone as I go.

also the switch that comes with this I actually wanted to wire to a switch panel if anyone has suggestions on ones that they like? I’m curious on how to take the wires from the existing switch and wire it to another panel as I’m not familiar with the type of wire on the current switch. I’m including a link to the light kit that I got for a reference in case anyone has used this before.

If it were me: I'd put 1 in the middle front, 1 in the middle back, 2 on each side towards the front and rear end of the rock rails, and 1 in each wheelwell. That would help to spread light coverage and minimize shadows where you don't want them for rock light duty

Any suggestions on screws vs drilling or what to bolt to?

Sorry, but I've yet to tackle rock lights. I've got an 8-piece set that attaches via earth magnets sitting in a growing pile of parts.

My plan with them is to finalize all the wire routing and hookups, but leave some slack at the lamp end. Come nightfall, they can be shifted around to where they work the best.

Hahaha! I didn't even see the dirt writing until now. It's "F.B.G.M." and there's a dick below it on the door. Lol!
The first thing I saw was "Purdy mouth", lol, from there I couldn't help myself. Who draws an uncircumcised dirt dick? What the hell is wrong with people... :CWL: :CWL:

I think Headbarcode had some good advice on location. As for screws, I've never been a big fan of self-tappers. They are easier, but they can be kind of sloppy and well, I might have a touch of OCD... lol Also have to consider the extra length of the screw tip and what else it might tap behind your intended target.
