I'm debating on ordering the matte black grille... Wonder how that will look. Just ordered my new Fuel Vapor wheels and 35/12.5/17 tires
I’d like to see the Matte black grille on a Sahara JLU with body color fenders. Trying to convince the wife it’s the “right” thing to do.

Finished installing my ROAM rear bumper and extending my camera/third brake light harness. Also had my 3.5-4" Skyjacker kit delivered today.

VERY interested to see what you think of this lift kit... was about to pull the trigger on an EVO 2.5" Stage 2 with shock extensions for my JLUR that is on order.

I have most of the kit installed minus the cam bolts(I won't be using those, have some adjustable control arms going on soon.) I took a quick spin around the block and it felt very similar to the factory Rubicon setup with the 2.5" RC spacer kit. I did feel that the jeep wanted to wander a little more, but I'm sure that's b/c currently my caster is out of spec from not using the cam bolts(I will never put those on a Jeep.)
Sorry for the crappy picture, I just finished and it was the only place I had some light.

Thanks for the reply- much appreciated! Looks like it lifted you a tad more than the EVO lift... is that accurate? Also, are you considering the EVO adjustable control arms? If so, pardon my ignorance this is the first Jeep I will be lifting, will you need two for the front and four rear?

RC 2.5 lift and 315/70/17 BFG KO2s on factory Sport S wheels! No rubbing, no spacers! Also the RC relocation bracket installed, we need to order longer bump stops for the spare, it bounces a bit on bumps. Angled headlights down so we don't blind people too!

I gained 2" over the RC 2.5" kit I had prior(front RC spacers were 2.5", rear were 2" so a total of 4.5" Front & 4" Rear.) I'm sure they will settle a little over the next few days giving me close to the quoted 3.5-4"
Ideally I would go with front lowers, and rear uppers to help re-center the axle and be able to adjust the caster on this kit. Skyjacker mentioned to me that they have an upgrade kit that includes adjustable arms. I know they mentioned front lowers, but I'm not sure on the rear. I wouldn't go with rear lowers as it would require you to pull the axle closer to the front of the vehicle to get the pinion angle correct, vs going with the rear uppers that would push it a little further back.
I am installing/testing a ROAM long arm kit this weekend that includes all 8 arms adjustable arms.

Been a while since I posted that pic. Happy to help.
No issues with the car seat setup at all. Besides my daughter kicking my seat but that’s more of a kid issue . The middle between the two seat is kind of tight but I have had an adult ride back there a few times with not too much complaining. It should be fine for a kid. Hope you can see for yourself very soon.
Thanks! :like:
