Sold: Mopar Tailgate Reinforcement & RC Relocation bracket

Back up for sale. My wife installed a full rear bumper that includes a tire carrier. Had it on with my 37" spare for a short period of time, then installed it on my wife's JL with a 35" spare. Had no problems holding either, I just wanted to go to a full bumper/carrier on both.
$450 for the setup + shipping.

Yeah I think it weighs more than the Mopar reinforcement kit! I trimmed/painted the RC bracket to work in conjunction with the Mopar bracket, so no modification necessary.

Sorry, the setup ended going on my wifes JLU Sport.
It will be available again when she gets a new rear bumper/carrier but that may be a little while.

Sidenote: Mopar says you "must" use this reinforcement kit with the oversized spare mount that's sold separately. Is that true? I thought you could just use the reinforcement kit by itself.

I really don't want to split them up as I modified the bottom of the RC bracket to work with the Mopar hinge. I have the early revision of the RC bracket that doesn't raise the spare as high.

You don't have to use the over-sized spare mount kit. We just extended our tailgate bumpstops and had no issues. It was on my wife's JL that way for the last 4k miles.
