What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

This is as close as I can get and no over hang outside the fender.

Once my stockers have some age and wear I will move to Wet Okoles, I've had great luck with these in the past.

Wet Okoles are aok. Great fit, etc. Had them in 3 different Wrangler''s. Even though l had them, l still used Seatshields on beach days.. Suntan oil is not a friend of seats.

I don't use sun tan oil, I'm blessed with plenty of melanin. There is no way that these drapey, low rated, dead ghost that hang on the seat are better than Okoles. But thanks for the suggestion!

Also by looking at them I am afraid they would flap in the wind like Courtney Loves gaping.... other lips.

I hear ya .. I did not say or imply these "drapey" Seat Shields are "better" the Wet Okoles. They are two different animals.

I look at Seat Shields as if they were like a bib that your kid wears when eating. No you don't leave the bib on all the time. They are, an as needed, temporary adjunct. And yes, the bib doesn't look terrific, flops around, gets chitty from oily food, etc. but it does provide temporary protection.

Wet Okoles are great. They fit like a glove and look great. I found that I can even resell them to somebody at time of vehicle sale and recoop much of the $ I paid for the Okole's back. Wet Okoles do stain though and can get chitty looking if you don't protect them from stains. Yes, they clean up but not the stains..

Anyway, enough said.. guess I'm just anal about wanting my seats without stains, etc.. Also, Wet Okoles do not keep water (wet suits) from seeping through them inot/onto the seat.

so he said that instead of chucking that extended fender extension...he just cut out that piece that is visible. thus leaving the housing intact to cover the fogs

Sorry bud, wasn't trying to get into a pissing match. I think we're on similar pages. I just read it as Wet Okole's were good, but these bibs are better, causing my skepticism to rise immensely due to my fantastic two decades of experience with them. Didn't realize you used the bibs as a supplemental protection.

I've never tested your theory about the wetsuit, you ride home with your wetsuit on? Standard for us was to rinse off, shed the suit and wrap a towel till ya get home. Something to do with different climates maybe?

I'm getting my interior Line-X'd Friday so I will have one less thing to contend with, however I definitely don't plan on being anal about my Jeeps interior. I have a Shelby that I frivolously worry and fret over every detail about and part of the Jeep experience for me was tossing my hands up and saying "It's a Jeep who cares".

So far I'm enjoying my JL more than my car and giving less of a chit has made me feel younger and reminiscent of a time when I didn't fret over the details as much.

I had a busy Fri & Sat completing some minor mods to our Rubicon.
1. Switched out the black fuel filler door for the Mopar Satin Chrome Fuel Door.
2. Removed the Rubicon Rocker Guards and installed the Mopar Chrome Tubular Side Steps.
3. Painted the brake calipers and wheel hubs with G2 Brake Caliper Paint System. Red for the calipers and black for the wheel hubs. I selected to paint the calipers red to match the red throughout the Rubicon. Of course red and black are my two favorite vehicle colors.
4. Painted that "eye sore", that huge silver stock muffler and tail pipe. I also used the G2 Brake Caliper Paint System black and it conceals it really good.

installed my DV8 FS15 bumper and smittybilt winch. the bumper fits like a champ! and I was able to keep my factory led fog lights

Do you have a link for this? I only see a listing under Jeep JK front bumpers on their site.

Got a 6" extension (that's what she said) for my receiver that works perfect with my bike rack and receiver cargo rack.

Where did you find the extension? I need to get one.
