Installed my spiderwebshade. Very easy to install, makes a big difference in wind noise with the top down, and does a great job of blocking out the sun! My only complaint is I wish they made a soft top only variant without the center hole for the freedom top latches The hole seems to catch air and flap around a little(Not to the point where it makes noise.) The hole just seems to make the center portion of the top less tight.

Debating on ordering one of these to keep the sun off the little ones in the back seat. Does it completely eliminate the open air experience or is it perforated enough to still at least partially have it?

Just ordered some really cool grab handles from GPCA (they are discounted right now)-I've had their cargo cover in my 15 JKU and been pretty happy with it, and have the GP1945 pen which is really cool and they are including it with some of the grab handle packages right now. I'm not affiliated with them at all-just really like their products and wanted to share with the forum. You can find them at the link below, and if you want an addl'l 10% I'm including a referal link:

To me it's perfect, I can't see myself taking it off. In Houston the sun/heat can be overbearing especially when sitting in slow moving traffic. I see the shade allowing me to spend more time topless in the summer months. Even today with temperatures in the mid 70's and the Sun out in full force my mostly bald head starts to cook if I'm standing in direct sunlight. I just got back from a thirty minute drive to the dealer to pick up some parts, and can say that even while standing still in direct sunlight with the shade on it was very comfortable.

Ha!
We can probably work something out :-D

Yes, the wire is hidden inside the body of the holder.
I drilled a small hole for it through the plastic that's underneath the little rubber "mat" that's in that spot on the dash so if I ever want to remove the holder the rubber mat would hide the little hole.
I used screws to hold it in place (also hidden by the mat) but double-sided foam tape would work just as well.
Very interested in this.
How well does it hold your phone with the magnetic ring?
Let me know if you're interested in printing a small batch, think many more will be interested in this

Do we know if they are truly JL compatible?

According to the company, they are. It's on there "JL" page:

https://gpca.us/product-category/jeep-wrangler/jl/

I'd say I'll let you know when I get mine, but I'll be waiting a lot longer on my 2-door than the grab handles unfortunately. Seems like they'll work on any 3 inch diam roll bar.

BTW-check out the color customization option. I got red to go with the Rubi dash/interior.

I went ahead and ordered a pair. I have the Mopar ones on the front that I had to velcro up and out of the way for my wife who didn't like dodging them getting in or out. I will try and finagle the fronts onto the back to make room for these. Thanks for posting about these.

Did you have to lower your Windshield to install the shade? Do you have any more pictures on what was required to do the install ?

My goal in buying my Jeep this month was to have the hard top off by Easter ... even if it was for only a day. I have been terribly busy at work. Finding free time recently has been difficult. A couple of weeks ago I splurged on a Top Lift Pro. I must say, it is WELL worth the money. It was sunny and 71 today. Happy Easter everyone!

Here is a link to the instructions posted by another member, but yes you have to lower the windshield(Which I've been wanting to do anyhow.) That part was very easy for the most part. The wiper blades were a little stubborn to wiggle off their mounting studs.

Thank you!. I keep hoping we will see someone make a Bikini Top for the JL. The Rugged Ridge Cab cover I bought from Quadratec did not fit ... I am going to have to send it back.
