I just did the chop last weekend and installed the leds, liners, and fender retention hardware. It gains 3.5" of clearance between the tire and inside of the fender, but less than half of that is visual from the side.

I highly recommend the liners and hardware kit to compliment these brace/LEDs. Most, if not all other companies liners leave a gap at the top because they weren't designed with the chop in mind. And the hardware is both functional and gets rid of the ugly white clips.
That does make sense. the AAL inner liners would fit better because he knew the right size to make them and he does have the better looking one because its one piece instead like 3 or 4 like some make. AAL inner fenders also dont take long at all to install

So here's how I cut mine, just wanted to give a little more structural stability. I need to order the aal inners, or make some myself. Have considered custom building complete replacements, seems like it wouldn't be terribly hard.

So you cut the rear fenders ? why didn't you separate them like in the front ? I like the bigger running lights like the front stock one have. The only aftermarket front ones that even have some what of a big running light on them are the Road Armor and the rest of them little small running lights on them. I thinks thats why AAL as sold many of his delete kits. Now Rugged Ridge is coming out with theirs in about 6 months they told me. I saw someone with a pair on you tube install them. He got the first prototypes ones they did look good. All the after market fenders are around 1,200 to 1,600 for front and rear. Then you need inner fenders and thats about another 600 or more. Plus I cant put them on so thats about another 400 to 500 for labor. So that puts me around 2,400 and thats just to much for me to spend o fenders. I dont need them that bad lol. Thats a lot of money when I can spend that much and get a lot of of other different things on my Jeep. Heck i spent 300 on fenders for my JK when I had it. The JL is like everything has tripled in price lol

I have the AAL DRL's, I just wanted a little more rigidity in the fenders, so I cut the inner fenders back, removed all the superfluous stuff and left the innermost piece that is spot welded to the outer fenders. Took a little more time but my fenders are pretty much just as strong now as they were from day 1. And yes, everything is super pricey for the JL's, which is the point of doing it this way...my build is going to take 10 years at the rate I'm going.

Quake LED also makes a fender chop bracket with a larger drl/turn signal. They don’t do RGB lights like the AAL ones do but I think they look great.

Looks like in the rear you got rid of the metal bracket behind the tire did you ? if so did it make a difference not have the metal bracket for a brace ?

These are AAL daytime running lights and inner fender liners front and rear, and hardware kit front and rear. 2.5 Evo enforcer lift, and 37” nittos.

I haven't flexed it to see if it'll cause any issue yet, but driving around it's not been an issue. Eventually I'm sure I'll end up with some type of aftermarket metal fenders and liners as well as bumpers. I have a build spreadsheet going that I'm constantly changing my mind on what parts I like. I guess I just need to start buying stuff. LOL

Yours looks good with the 2.5 on the wheel well gap. I think with mine having 3 inchs its going to have a lot more gap and might be too much. thats whats holding me back on doing it till I can decide if it will be to much wheel gap what do you think ? you see mine in the above photo ?

It comes in three parts, bolt together. This is exactly as it comes.

AAL advertises his front inner fender as one piece and about 30 seconds to put it in or take it out I seen the video on his website that's the ones I go with if I do it

It’s one piece after you connect the three, and for removal, you’d remove it as just the single piece. A few hours at least for install, but yes, once mounted, these will come out in just a couple mins.

You’d have to check with them but I wanna say they are, just not 100% positive.
