2 toddlers in diapers walked away uninjured after being thrown from a Jeep that flipped on a Texas highway.

Deputy Sheriff:

"Deputies responded to a major crash on the main lanes of the East Freeway at Freeport. It was a two-car crash where one of the vehicles flipped over several times, resulting in the ejection of the 2 children.

The car was occupied by one adult and 2 children. They are being transported to a hospital. No injuries were reported for the occupants in the other vehicle."

The incident reportedly occurred on the Interstate 10 East Freeway in Freeport, Texas.

This is a huge fear of mine with my two little ones but seriously I gotta ask, were they not in car seats?! Or did the carseats fail somehow from the roll over?
No car seats in a topless Jeep..... WTAF?!?!?!?!?!!?
Right? No way in hell my 10 month old could get loose from her car seat even if I rolled it. Those harnesses are intense.

Seriously, I'm constantly looking in the rear view to make sure the harnesses aren't strangling them because they're so tight.

Here I get upset when I see folks driving around with their dogs untethered in pickups or on the driver's lap. Kids just loose in the back of a vehicle?! I mean, that's how I grew up, but I'm glad those days are gone.

Good to hear that they are okay.

I believe that children that age have a special toughness that they lose as they get older. How many times have you seen them fall and hit their heads? Such a loud bang.

If I hit my head like that, I would be in serious trouble.

It must be nature's way of ensuring the survival of the species.

Maybe it was better they weren’t in this case? 🤷‍♂️ They were sure very lucky and pops needs to stop by the gas station to get a lottery ticket if that’s a thing on the other side of the pond.

No, I'm gonna say they'd have been safer in a car seat.
