Also the housing on the new Zeon XD is slightly smaller than the Zeon-S and seems to fit fine between the frame rails without trimming the inside of the frame horns! It is not only a bit narrower overall, the end caps are just a bit smaller diameter as well.

@Northridge4x4 Any chance they mention its duty cycle? I reached out to Warn a few years ago about my Zeon 10s since the manual doesn’t specify. They gave me an incredibly lame non-answer.

When I pressed for something they still wouldn’t even give me even the slightest guidance. Was pretty disappointing considering they price themselves, and hold the reputation, as the premier winch.

I put a Zeon XD 10s (purchased from the nice folks at Northridge 4x4) on my 24 JLUR with AEV bumper a couple months ago. They indeed are a little narrower and fit down between the frame rails with ease and room to spare. The winch was the easiest part of that installation.

Yes I should have said the Zeon XD line which has stood the test of time since June 2024
The XP is just the "Zeon Platinum" version of the XD.

As someone who has used both the Zeon and the EVO winches in long winching sessions, it's your battery and charging system that will run out of juice before the winch fails.

**EDIT - So the best thing to do is to let your battery voltage dictate how long you are running your winch. Running the winch on low voltage power will damage the motor.

The rule of thumb has always been "If the winch is so hot you can't put your hand on it, let it cool down".
That held true with the older M style winches, but I haven't had a Zeon get that hot yet.

Yes, I realize that since I posted the article…but XP though. Plus I just have a plain Zeon so I feel…inadequate.
Figured you'd be used to that feeling by now
