JL vs JK Wrangler Rubicon Visual Comparison

You’ve seen and read countless images/videos and descriptions of the styling changes on the all new 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL, but nothing shows it better than these side by side comparison views (full gallery) against its direct predecessor, the JK Wrangler.

Seen here is the JL Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon sitting side-by-side with a JK Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.  The thing that stands out immediately is how much more presence the front grille has.  The wider and longer grille slots and the larger, deeper-set headlights presents a more modern and commanding front end than the outgoing JK.

The images also show the increased angle and taper on the new windshield, which aid in aerodynamics (the JL features 9% better drag coefficient overall than the JK). The JL also sits higher from the factory and features standard high-line fenders.  The JL Rubicon’s hood bump and hood vents also appear to be larger and more prominent.

And although opinions differ on the moving of the turn signals from the grille to the fender, we are fans of the new look.
