Anybody else getting the “subscription updating” pop up when they start up?

Sometimes it shows up once, sometimes twice, but it’s been doing it for the last 6 months.

Dealership, no help.

hours with Sirius/XM support, refresh signal after signal, resets, reboots, etc

no resolution.
Radio works fine, just can’t change volume or station for the first 2 min or so, which can sometimes be an issue when my girls hop in for school.

Totally random guess: It's not saving subscription status to memory correctly. Satellite TV and radio are read-only streams, so the only way for your radio to know it has an active subscription is via a channel that downlinks keys/tokens/active radio IDs. I'm not sure what it downlinks, but it does that in a loop. All day, every day, it's downlinking the feed of active accounts. If the radio doesn't think it's active, then it'll wait until it's either listened for an entire cycle, or it gets its packet.

I don't think the radio checks subscription status unless you're on the satellite radio station, so you could just switch to fm or bluetooth before you turn it off.

Either way, it's probably a memory problem. Perhaps try factory resetting the radio?

Thanks for the info. It’s currently working under my lifetime subscription that I bought circa ‘06 that XM says you can’t transfer more than once, but I’ve transferred it at least 5 times.

I’ll try switching to a different source before shutting down and let you know if the same thing happens.
Appreciate it.

So I tried your suggestion and it does in fact work. No message when I switched back to SXM. Now just trying to decide what's more annoying, remebering to switch sources before I turn the jeep off or waiting for the message to disappear...

I know this is old, but Did you ever find another solution on this? Or is it just to go to a different source the only fix.

Has there been a fix for this? It's been doing the same to me for a year or longer.... I'm over it.

I’ll add that I’m also getting the Subscription Updating message on start up. It’s a 2019 and first time seeing this.

I wish someone would say how to fix this. I'm getting this message also and I've had my Jeep for 4 years and it just started doing this a few months ago. Refreshing the signal didn't help. I have an active subscription.

I keep getting the message but I think it is because my Travel app subscription lapsed. It is really annoying.
