Wiring backlight on rigid radiance

2019 JL sport unlimited w/o daytime running lights LED package. Installed rigid radiance with backlight. Used quadratec DRL wiring harness adapter but backlight not working. Do I have to have DRL package for this to work or should the harness work with running lights? Or could it be a defective part? Alternate suggestions welcome. I do have the Aux switch package but would prefer to not use.

Sport doesn't have DRL, so even with that harness the backlight will not work. If you want a the backlight to come on when the vehicle is running, use a micro fuse tap and connect it to the cigar lighter fuse or one of the heated seats fuses.

I called Rigid and unfortunately, I spoke to someone inexperienced that had to “find out” and was not much help. I called quadratec and they did not know, suggestion was to flash the computer to see if it could unlock. Called my Jeep dealer and they said use tazer to compute, called Quadratec tec back and they sent out a new harness in case. Such a simple solution. I’m going to let them know so they can put in knowledge base...
