Hi folks,

I have a set of 2-stage DiodeDynamic SS pod lights I plan on setting up. These lights have 2 stages…dim and bright. I’d like to wire the dim setting to turn on with my headlights and wire the bright mode to my OEM aux switch. Any ideas as to how I should go about this?

Should I use one of those “add-a-fuse” connectors and have it piggyback the headlight fuse or should I splice/tap into the headlight wire directly?

Make sure you check and make sure that any aux lighting you'll use on road is both DOT/SAE approved and legal to run on and uncovered.

There's no low beam fuse, there's a hot in ignition one that feed the lights, but not one that's switched.

You'll likely want to trigger a relay from the headlight circuit. Will prevent the additional draw from impacting the BCM's monitoring and prevent any impact to the effectiveness of the headlights.

Good point on checking if it’s legal for on road use. I’ll email them shortly.

I had no idea there was no low beam fuse. I guess tapping directly into the. Headlight will be the way. Thanks Gator!
