  • I'm sorry Jennifer, I was being selfish and not considering those without a garage---
  • I think you should have a remote starter and a safe snow/ice removal scraper(won't scratch paint), always have a set of light boots in your jeep and a couple clean towels/windshield cleaner/windex--etc--
I can't give too much advice, because I've been spoiled by GARAGES--

Gpood luck

Guess I no longer understand the concept of winterize. Come mid October I'm towing my JK to Yuma via Moab for the winter. But having spent 60 years of my life in Montana winters, I would recommend a full undercarriage wash at least a couple of times a month.

I want to start a thread that will focus on winterizing the wrangler. Please post any tips, things you've done or are planning on doing to your jeep specifically to deal with the winter season. Hoping we can all learn and help each other out!
...buying a backup ESS battery and putting it on a trickle charger?????

I just found a good local self-serve car wash. I plan using their high power spray guns frequently to keep the underside clean. Tons of salt and sand used up here.

along these lines, trickle charging my JL (as opposed to the backup ESS battery described prior, sitting apart from the rig) when parked at home in cold weather, so as to keep its "Achilles Heel," the ESS battery, topped off???????????

I moved to California from Cleveland, OH seems to be a pretty good winterizing strategy. Anyone got tips for keeping the Jeep nice in these brittle 50 degree winter days?

Changed the oil! Other than that, I’ll be scraping snow off of it because we have no garage. The good thing here is that it’s very windy, so maybe the snow will just blow somewhere else. Glad it has heated seats and a heated steering wheel.
