I have an extra set of wheels that I'm going to mount winter tires on. The stock tires are 255/70/18s and the snows I have are 245/60/18s. Besides the speedo being off by a few mph, any issues with running the slightly smaller tires? They are also a bit narrower too, which I think is an advantage with the winter tires.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
8% smaller in diameter is quite a bit, not sure if there's any conflict there though. Probably best to get a calibration done through the dealer. I guess you could run as-is and see if any issues arise, especially since it's only a seasonal change.

It's not just a matter of the speedo being off. It's the transmission shift points that will be off, since it will be fed inaccurate data with a size thats not programmed.
