I’m in the same boat right now. I’ve been on custom offsets website for days. I like a couple Havok designs and Moto metal. Just damn expensive. Also like the Mickey Thompson Baja 33” tires. My biggest issue is wheel size. I got a sport with stock 17” wheels. Looking to go up to 18” but not as many choices. I feel like staying with 17” is dumb since I may as well just put new tires on the ones I got. Oh the dilemmas we face.

Tons of choices in 17s and the ride will be better!

Because most aftermarket wheels for the Jeep are HEAVY or look cheap?

I’ve heard rumors of a Rays TE37 being in development for the JL, though... I’m holding out for a set of those.
Great, that means Rota will be making some wheels for the JL lol

Haha! I’m thinking Ray’s is going to have a pretty small market with JL owners. Maybe Rota will just pass?

It looks really cool. I wonder by how much your fuel consumption went up?Is it really noticeable?
It’s still new but has dropped a bit for sure. I am planning to regear which I hope will help, but it seems to have gone down from 19mpg to 15-16mpg. I need some more time to compare, but I think it has definitely impacted it. :( totally worth it though!

Just ask @cosine he knows!

Definitely NOT dumb! Many wheel choices w/ offsets to get you just the fit you want, and for larger/wider tires it's best to run them on an 8.5 to 9" width. And having that taller sidewall might come on handy on the trail :)

Who’s the forum rep from Discount Tires if I’ve got a question about a product?

Also saves a little in the wallet. Do you have any opinions on Moto metal or Havok or vision wheels?

So I just got my white JL 2019 Unlimited Sport and I’ve been trying to figure out what’s lift, rims and tires to go with... it’s like... a wormhole that never ends. I just can’t decide which rims to get. For some reason I keep coming back to the Mickey Thompson Sidebiter 2s than on other days I feel like they’re too busy and I want something cleaner. Did yinz have those same god damn problems or what? Yinz already have your rims picked out!?
Did you try discount tire and tire rack's websites? They'll let you put in your vehicle's year, make, model, and color and then view different wheels on it. Not perfect, but gives you a general visual of what you'd be looking at.

Yeah actually I did! I really like the Dirty Life Roadkill wheels in black! I think I’m going with those. Just trying to figure out what tires to get now.

Edit: actually I think I’ll do the Tactiks form Quadratec because I think they are the exact same wheel as the Roadkills but 60 dollars cheaper per week wheel. 120 as opposed to 180.

It took me six months to pick out rims. I had originally picked out Fuel Beast rims.......before everybody decided to buy them. So another four months later and searching this forum to see what people "DIDN"T" have...and I bought the Fuel Vapors.

I'm really hating the whole murdered out look. It's been way overdone and the time has passed.

Honestly, I'd love to see a white Jeep with a set of old school white wagon wheels. Classic.
Classic white steel wheels like on an old scout or K5 blazer or CJ5 is how I roll! Here's some pictures of my rig from a whole other thread expressing fatigue with the black wheel thing: #250

That looks sick on the yellow Rubi. I dig it. Definitely not something you’ll see often with all the black wheels. I still prefer the black wheels for the most part but I can definitely appreciate that classic look.

So I am a total noob at this offset/backspacing thing. I have been eyeing these up:

https://www.quadratec.com/p/tactik/...l-matte-black-17-x-85-5-back-space-07-17-jeep

At first I was going to get the Dirty Life Roadkill 9301 but I am pretty sure these Tactiks are the exact same wheels, or they look it for like $80 cheaper. But the Tactik's have a 5 inch backspace... I saw some people on the YouTube comments of a Tactik video complaining that they stopped watching when it said 5 inch backspacing. What is the problem with a 5 inch backspace and are there better options?

#1 for me

Well, yes I do! :D I’m really happy with them! Got them and the tires at Discount tire. I’m thinking about switching to the black lugs, but the silver kinda matches the studs on the center part off the wheel.

I think the chrome lugs compliment the wheels great choice !
