Hey all, I'm in the St. George, UT area for the week and was thinking of hitting up Sand Hollow. It looks like I'll need dune flag, though I forgot mine at home. Any locals out there that can point me in the direction of a local shop that I can pick up a flag? Also, aside from entrance fee's, are there any special permits or certificates I need to be able to wheel at Sand Hollow?

Thanks in advance...

I can't help with the flag but you can enter the off roading area without a fee. On the east side of the area Sand Hollow road will pass under Southern Parkway and turn to dirt. A short way up is a staging/parking area called Waddy's corral that you can start from. If you want to go down to the water then I think you have to pay a fee.

Thanks. Didn't realize that yesterday when we visited and entered via the Sand Hollow. Oh well, at least the money goes to maintain the park so I'm not too worried about that.

I ended up finding a place in Hurricane that sells flags if anyone else needs them when visiting, Southern Utah Adventure Center.
