They make off-road mods for minivans?

It's called "built, not bought". I understand your point, but also understand the point of the person making the comment about building a minivan. Just because it's not in the 4WD Hardware catalog doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Don't get me wrong I'm well aware they have universal off-roading parts. The minivan though is a really bad example. If he had said pretty much anything slightly off-road worthy I would have possibly seen eye to eye. To get a minivan to the level of a base JL, you'd have to spend a lot more than $50,000. You're talking full drivetrain upgrade, including the transmission, drive shafts, axles, and the differentials. You're going to have to do significant body trimming, and I mean intensely significant body trimming, if you want to fit 32-in tires. Like you said you're going to have to use a universal lift because they don't make them for minivans. By the time you add skid plates and everything else, you're going to be looking at well over $50,000.

Also you're not looking at a redneck, a blowtorch, and a case of beer. You looking at a around the clock team of redneck mechanics in a shop, and 3-4 months of beer. If we're counting that much beer into the cost, you're definitely going to be well over $100,000. If I can drink a 24 pack in a weekend and I'm not even a hardcore redneck, can't even imagine what a team of full blown rednecks could do in 3-4 months

If he just said something like a Suzuki Samurai, I totally would have been cool with it. And even then by the time you would make a all-wheel drive minivan capable of being close to a base Wrangler JL, the JK would have completely blown it out of the water as well for significantly less money. So really it's kind of a moot point to begin with.

I've heard from a few salespeople that the V6 will probably be available to order later this year.

Just spotted this equipment list for the 2025 Ram 1500 “Tungsten” model, should be an option for high end models How disappointed would you be with a 24 , E-Torque or not, IF ?

You sure do have two batteries, a 12v and 48v lol... And before you get bent out of shape I was not putting down the etorque. Merely pointing out it was absent with the 2024 v6 auto, where it was forced on buyers the last few years.
What I meant was I don’t have the tiny battery in the fender that causes so much heartache on these forums. Nothing wrong with e torque. But I’m old school they should just have a 12 volt battery only.

All good friend and there are few "heartaches" with the non-etorque setup. The few on here are a small fraction of units sold overall. Glad you like yours and happy I have mine. My second "tiny" battery can be deleted but your much more expensive 48v second battery cant be...

Man, the comments are all over the place with this one. Fact is, Timmyjoe is 100% right with his assumption. You want a V6 with automatic on the 2024 Jeep wrangler? You need to go with the Rubicon.....that's the only choice. I found this on the Jeep build page so decided to see what the 2.0 turbo felt like on a test drive as that was the only choice for the 4 door sport. I told the dealer I preferred the V6 on the sport and he said I could order it that way. I said no you cant, he said yes you can. So I said lets build one here on your computer. I was starting to think maybe I was wrong due to his confidence and the fact his options/choices looked more complex on screen. Turns out it could NOT be done. NO V6 w/ auto on the Sport, Sport S, Willys, Sahara. V6/auto only avail on the Rubicon. My guess is corporate wants some kind of buyer motivation on the older style 2023 Jeeps. The 2024's are sharp looking with some nice improvements and Cheaper too. The 2023's near me are loaded with packages/options going for 50-65K....I can get a 2024 willys(which is nice) for 47K
