I disconnected this wire for a second while installing a light bar. Now my check engine light is on. Did I do something wrong?

I think that may be the ground wire for the 2nd battery. I would disconnect both batteries again and let it reset, hook them up and make sure it’s tight.
did you wrap that wire with anything while is was disco’ed?

@Goosed I did not. I disconnected it only to loop the light bar ground between that wire and the frame so there was no need to cover it. Is there a special way to disconnect the battery since there is two of them?

Those are Ground points for the dash components. You may just need to reset the codes. Check with any local auto parts chain, as they usually do that for free.

Quick update. The check engine light went away on its own before I got around to disconnecting the battery. Thanks for the help. Peace ✌ :jk:

I found this on the internet, when I was looking at the alpine pss-23wra on my JL.
In the video by Quadratec, they just take off, the ground, from the main battery!
They run the power wire without any seen problems.

Guy's I am sorry to have posted you the wrong information with the Quadratec video. The video let me believe, that pulling the negitive off the battery, would cut power, it doesn't. I pulled the negitive off and noticed my powered sub lite on, I was so suprized I checked to see if the cable was off and it was,ESS JUNK!
