I believe the finnegan pins were part of Jeep’s clutch plate recall.

So your blinker fluid will be just fine in a collision if you’re driving a manual. Everybody else is probably screwed.

I have a ‘22 JL build start December ‘21 and don’t have that bracket. I guess I don’t like my passengers. ;)
The heck with the passenger, what about me ? It’s so unsafe to exit my Jeep to quickly do something without the exit honks warning me,
I gotta find out how too add them ….
to keep me safe. 🙃
and I thank god and Jeep for Auto Park. It also keeps me safe opening, pulling through, and closing the gate

I took it off yesterday. Tried to cut the two bolts with a multi-tool, but it just ate up my blades. Went out and bought a reciprocating saw and it made much quicker work of those bolts!

Instead of backing out bolts etc. Can’t you just take a cutoff grinder and just cut it at the angle of the frame and just round it a bit. It may look factory LOL.

If you run 35 inch tires or smaller you need to use the safety bracket so the tire does not go up into the passenger floorboard. If you run manly tires, like 37” or 40” or even bigger tire’s you do not need this because the bigger tires will not go into that small floorboard area.

Old man here saying taking off a safety device would haunt me if involved in a accident that injured someone.
Especially if I sold it to a unknowing second owner.
Happy Easter.

Old man here that somehow made it this far, remembering when we didn't have seat belts, airbags, and car seats.

Thinking that many of the mods/lifts make the Jeep far less safe than the removal of that bracket.

Sooooooooooo…. Go ahead and put 40 inch tires on it, and it will be impossible for that tire to go through the passenger floorboard.

Used my impact on the three bolts that I could access, used open/box end wrenches to back out the two rear most bolts as far as possible, then cut the heads off with 4.5" cut-off wheel on angle grinder. Wearing safety glasses, stay out of line of the disc and I wear a respirator these days.

Working on grinding the two welds as much as possible without going into the frame rail itself, then will use visegrips to clamp on and pry it off, finish smoothing the framerail with 4-1/2 in. x 7/8 in. 120-Grit Type 27 Flap Disc in that same angle grinder, smooth as a baby's bottom lol, finish with some black spray paint.

In retrospect, after unbolting the outer 5lbs of steel, I should've just cut level with bottom of framerail and cut off the fin like forward part, ground smooth and spray painted black...I'd be done by now and it would be out of the tires (and larger tires) way. My OCD sometimes causes me more work than is necessary. :/
