I know I'll get flamed for this, but the LJs have always looked dorky as hell to me. The proportions are just... off. I've said the same thing about the base level JTs. They look better proportionally with a little lift and larger wheels. Maybe the LJ would also but in the OPs pic, not so much.
I agree with you bud.

What’s weird is that softtop panel truck look. Otherwise LJ = awesome Jeep.

Hey, CJ6's always looked a little "off" but they too served to add a little more utility to the Jeep.

Co-Worker owned one, all stock, never really like the look of them. They bought and didn't realize that it was different than a normal length until they cam to the office and parked next to another Jeep.

I think it’s the tinted windows on the soft top.
For me, they corrected the one shortcoming of my TJ Sport, very little cargo space.
I don’t believe it was ever offered on lesser models than the Rubicon. Was a time when Rubicons were a rarity, now they seem to be the most common. Spotless with ducks mostly.

They are cool. My son has a dark blue Sport LJ.

This is a good example of how some lift and larger tires help to balance out the proportions. The rounded hard top helps too.

This wasn't an uncommon opinion when they were new, but it looks less off today than it did back then.

I still argue it's the best Wrangler Jeep ever made.

Seen a Gladiator a few months back with a truck bed camper in it similar to this.

Rubicon at wife's work, stock. It looks lowered and the back is long? Is it an optically allusion?

Stock as when he bought it. Top may be different tho

How did you take this picture? This thing looks like it's been through 8 different AI filters. Did you take it from Neptune with an Android phone or something?
