A very interesting video from Gayle Banks. This is not specific to Jeep, but interesting and good information none the less:

Kinda makes me wonder what a air locker line does to the oil flow while at speed of course. I've been watching this series on diff pans it's going to be interesting to see if the after market stuff is hurting more than helping.

That’s an interesting topic. I’ve had an arb supply line get pinched several years after install. Really the only way it could get moved is from the hydrodynamics inside of the diff. Mind you this was in a front axle with lockout hubs. The front diff sat idle most of the time and rarely saw over 10 mph. The forces have to be pretty significant with a pretty heavy fluid.

I found it at the worst time. Sitting on the trail watching another vehicle in front of me. Turn around to walk back the the rig, hear the compressor running, and see fluid being pumped out of the breather. I knew exactly what happened.

On a side note, Gale Banks is awesome. He is very interesting and takes such a scientific approach to his work. Listen to him on Adam Carolla’s Carcast. Very entertaining.
