I have Dana Advantek cast diff covers on my 2023 JLUR and run a Metalcloak rear diff skid plate. What are folks running as a front skid with the aftermarket Dana cover?

I looked before going with the MC setup, but I don't think I found any front skids that didn't utilize the diff bolts.

Sorry I don't know. That is an impressive looking cover. Why do you want a diff. skid too.
I wondered the same thing and have the same covers. Then I ripped this sucker apart on a trail, when a skid that protects the pinion area would’ve prevented it. Thankfully @chevymitchell had a spare he could send my way. Looking at my front axle I see scrapes on the driveshaft u joint ears, which makes me wonder if I damaged one of those slipping off a boulder how ugly that could get.

To answer the OP’s question, @Roky has the same diff covers and RK suspension. Same as me mostly. The only skid he found that cleared was the Rancho’s which are discontinued. So some trial and error fittings will be needed. I’m considering the Rough Country skids since they are cheap and look like they may clear.

Are you sure they are discontinued? Northridge says out of stock, but Extreme Terrain has them.

Rancho Rear

Rancho Front

As I mentioned these will fit but require some clearancing.

Ok. I just saw it listed that way on one of the sites selling it, plus aside from ET I hadn’t seen it in stock anywhere so I assumed it was discontinued based on the one page listing it as such.

I know Roky got his front to work, I wonder if you got a bad one?

Like I keep saying, it require some clearancing to make it fit. It’s not gonna fit out of the box.

We've got the front D44 skids in stock:
https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/...ho-performance-front-diff-glide-plate-dana-44

Showing out of stock the rear, but shipping from the mfg. in 1-2 days:
https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/...cho-performance-rear-diff-glide-plate-dana-44

No mention of them being discontinued....yet.
Good to know. Thanks for laying that to rest!

@sourdough confirmed these don’t cover the pinion area, I thought they did. Shoot.

Regardless, they should work with some effort apparently. Anyone else have any recommendations for those of us with the Advantek covers?

Yeah, seems like everything I buy requires some massaging ?
Yeah and I’m not sure if having both are overkill. But i overkill regularly lol. I know that MC and NVM have covers and skids that pair, if someone wanted to go the easier route. I know that the NVM skid does a good (maybe the best) job of covering the pinion.
