We are stock height and my 5 foot wife can reach the glass to close it. She uses the running boards and grab handles every time to get in or out though.

On our Audi I was able to set an up limit for the rear hatch, wish there was a way with the Jeep rear glass
The slight lift of the XR puts the rear window outside of her reach. We use the running boards to get in, too. Having a upward limit would be pretty useful. I wonder if those little things used on screen doors to limit their swing/hold in place might work...?

(speaking in a whisper) She's 60...while she's still very energetic, jumping ain't her game anymore. ~ She'll never open the hood, but I hadn't considered the hood issue either - especially with the Redline hood struts!
Ha I didn't either until I installed the hood struts and then went to close the hood. I bought these loop straps and used the bolt that holds the spring onto the hood.

It works pretty well although it finally wore down today and the fibers of the strap broke. Just ordered a new set since they are pretty cheap and they lasted like a year.
