For those that got the upgraded Alpine system what have you made your equalizer settings? My goal is to get the fullest sound for rock music but im not sure how to go about it

Play with it and leave it at whatever setting sounds good to you. The only objective target that someone could maybe point you to is the most accurate response, but even that's subjective. Most accurate where - driver's seat only or everywhere?

You're asking for the fullest rock sound. That's many things to many people. If you want a simplistic answer, go for the smilie face setting - boost the bass, boost the treble and drop the midrange. That's the stereotypical (pun intended) rock setting:rock: I think it sounds terrible.

Don't know if I'm right or not, but with any eq, I normally boost highs all the way, lows all the way, and midrange is boosted a bit...the graph ends up looking like a W.

It really does depend on what I'm listening to.

I played around with some of these settings with the higher treble and was getting bad popping and fluttering sounds at the louder volumes coming from the front speakers. Adjusted back down to flat across the board and a slight bump in bass and even set to very loud all sounds great now. Don't know if anybody else experienced this but doesn't seem like mine could handle the higher settings (tested treble 8 bass 5 mid 1)

I messed around with my equalizer in the beginning, but found it to be just fine leaving everything at 0. I only listen to MP3s out of my Jeep and even though I don't consider myself an audiophile, I only put 320kbps files on my flash drive. None of that variable bit rate nonsense or 128kbps garbage!

Mine does this and its horrendous. Anyone know why? hoping its a software fix. I have the Alpine and can't really enjoy it because of all the static and popping.

My music sounds way to brassy. Trying different equalization settings ... still not liking what I'm hearing. The thing is, with the windows down, the music sounds pretty good.
