For those that don't have them, I'd say your dealer doing a PDI lost them (threw away). Mine were in a small plastic bag that was inside another plastic bag the size of a lawn bag in the cargo storage bin. One set of Velcro straps. One set of snaps.

Better off not rolling the window. It gets scratches easily that way
I second that. At first I felt bad for not getting those straps, but figured I’d probably never use em anyways. Every spring I will have to buff the windows using PlastX... you just so much as look at the windows and they scratch.

I used those all the time on my JK and doing that didn't scratch my window. I was kinda OCD on rolling it tho. I think I saw those straps there on my JL, but Michigan weather is just now reaching soft-top temperature, and my memory from last year is hazy.

Oops
I told my brother-in-law that they were safety harnesses for him to ride on the roll bars.
I'll have to apologize once we find him.

I love that people are surprised by this! My TJ came with these straps and I always had my rear window rolled up. I was glad to see it’s still a thing on the JL. Usually I just take everything off and put it in the garage though.
Honestly, I didn't think we could roll up our read window! I'm going to do it all the time now (when I have the top on)!

Once you open in Sunrider position, Velcro and when the top collapses in the back, it’s like this...

With that rolled up, what holds the side windows in?
The clip at the bottom of the corner pieces. And the rest of the side windows channeling of course

Why not just take the back window out instead of rolling it up? I can't imagine wanting to drive with the side windows on but the back window rolled up? What am I missing here?

They're supposed to be for rolling up your back window on your soft top. There are clips that you snap them into on the backside of the flap inside the soft top.

I've never used them because the plastic channels are very stiff.
Ok, I've read in other threads that people have had issues with the side windows of their softtops blowing off when driving with the back window out.....anyone experience this?

I usually take down the whole top rather than leaving the back window out. I could definitely see an issue with fumes coming back inside with just the back window down. I don't know if it would blow out though. The back window does sort of overlap the side windows with the way it clips in, but I don't really see how that's strong enough to keep them from blowing out.

I was not sure either. I use them to keep the rear shoulder belts from flapping at 40+mph. Now I know.
